Need for Speed Pro Street for PSP

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

The Need for Speed series on PSP has always had good graphics (for a portable game), good gameplay, and a long campaign. I know this because I’ve played all of the Need for Speed games for PSP except Need for Speed Underground. Need for Speed Pro Street for the PSP is no exception. Even though I think the other NFS games for PSP are great, but Need for Speed Pro Street is even better. It has better graphics, such as the track and the car reflections, better gameplay, a simple damage system, and a longer campaign. For those people that have trouble turning around a sharp corner, the developers of this game thought of you when making it. If you press circle when racing, then the game shows you when to turn so your car doesn’t crash into the wall or slow your car down that much.

There is also local and worldwide multiplayer that has ranking and is tons of fun.

I highly recommend you to buy Need for Speed Pro Street for the PSP ASAP.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Trailers

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Here’s the most recent trailer for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and a gameplay video.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has already come out in Japan, but it comes out in North America on March 25, 2008 for $40. If you have any questions about the game message me on the PSN or Xbox Live at spinalfap, because I own the game and I am almost halfway done with it.

GRAW 2 for PSP

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Just like Rainbow Six: Vegas, GRAW 2 just sent to the PSP. The only difference is that Rainbow Six:Vegas for PSP was as good as the console version. Sadly GRAW 2 for PSP isn’t good. Each button is used for too many different things, so it gets confusing very fast. It would be more appealing if the developers made more like Rainbow Six: Vegas, and less like some of the other shooters for PSP. The game is pretty short and doesn’t make you want to finish it, for me it made want to return it. Instead of getting this, get Rainbow Six: Vegas for PSP.

Twisted Metal 2 for PS3 and PSP

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Twisted Metal 2 is out on the PS Store for just six dollars, and included in that price is the game to put either on your PSP or PS3, and the ability to play it using the PSP via remote play streaming off of the PS3 so you don’t need a bigger memory stick. I think that Twisted Metal 2 is a fun game, but I don’t like the controls, and the fact that you don’t have to play it that long before it gets boring. I don’t like some of the controls because you have to push up on the D-Pad to accelerate your vehicle, so it’s hard to move left and right. Other than that I like it, but that’s only until I bored of it. I don’t think you should buy it.

PSP Slim

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Today I got a PSP Slim because it has a TV output, it weighs almost nothing, you can charge using a type b mini usb cable, and future PSP updates will have exclusive PSP Slim apps and bonuses like Skype. What I like about the PSP Slim after actually trying is it doesn’t hurt your hands like the previous PSP, because of how of how slim it is and flat, the controls feel a lot better and the analog stick has more resistance on it so you don’t turn to sharp in a racing game or something else, and the pixels on the screen don’t stick at all (unlike my previous PSP). On my old PSP the pixels stuck so much that every game seemed like a had mediocre graphics and games weren’t fun too play. The things that I don’t like about the PSP Slim are that even though Sony redesigned the speaker location and said that the speakers would be louder, I don’t think they are, and the UMD slot is more noisy than my old PSP and it doesn’t cradle it as well as the old PSP. So you have be extra careful when opening the UMD slot. Besides that, I think it’s a lot better than the previous PSP and I recommend getting one.

Jackass: The Game

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

I got Jackass: The Game recently thinking that it would be a good game because I like Jackass. But sadly, Jackass: The Game isn’t that great. To start the game is played in episodes, and each episode has five stunts and there are seven episodes. Each stunt is like a sort of fun mini-game. You can also save replays of your stunts, which I think is a cool feature.

I would not recommend buying Jackass: The Game, instead borrow it from a friend, or rent it.

Worms: Open Warfare 2

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

Worms: Open Warfare 2 is my most recent favorite game. It is a perfect game. It has a challenging but fun campaign: you can create your own map and it has online with multiplayer. Downloads include maps, flags, and other things to customize your worm team. It also has local multiplayer, custom match and a great tutorial to teach you how to become a Worms Pro in just a short time. At $30 dollars Worms: Open Warfare 2 is a fantastic must-have game that never gets boring.

The Simpsons Game

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Even though the Simpsons Game was released slightly after the Simpsons Movie, it has nothing to do with the movie. Instead it makes fun of some video games like Need for Speed, Madden, Grand Theft Auto, and Medal of Honor. In the game you can play as Bart, Homer, Lisa, and sometimes even Maggie. It has 16 levels, and free roam Springfield. It has voice overs for almost any character you can think of.

The Simpsons Game is worth $60 because there is so much gameplay, but I would rent it because it has practically no replay value. I would rent it from Blockbuster just because the game will take you a while to beat, and Blockbuster lets you keep the games for a long time without late fees.
